Audrey Victoria Cosgrove

Audrey is a graduate of UIC and UIC Law. She started her legal career as an Assistant Cook County Public Defender, was in private practice for 19 years and recently returned to the public sector serving as Deputy General Counsel for the Department of the Illinois Lottery.

First Vice-President
Ann L. Melichar

Law is Ann's third career. She spent many years working in the food and beverage industry in both restaurants and retail, then she pivoted to interior design and housing policy before law. Ann is a lifelong Chicago area resident and has lived in Logan Square for the past twenty years. She graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep before earning her B.A. at the University of Iowa and both her J.D. and LL.M. in Real Estate at The John Marshall Law School (University of Illinois at Chicago Law).

Ann has worked for the Circuit Court of Cook County since 2007, spending eleven years as foreclosure court staff. Since 2018, she has been working with the human resources department of the Office of the Chief Judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County.  Ann also is a past president of the Bohemian Lawyers Association.

Second Vice President
Christina N. Malecki

Christina N. Malecki is Assistant General Counsel with the Illinois Gaming Board in Chicago. She represents the Board in administrative proceedings.

Christina began her legal career in private practice focusing on civil litigation for several years. In 2014, she became an assistant state’s attorney and has been dedicated to public service with different state agencies since this time.

Christina earned her B.A. from Hofstra University and her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley School of Law.

Third Vice President 
Eryk Wachnik

Eryk Wachnik is the founder of Wachnik Law LLC and concentrates his practice in the areas of traffic and DUI defense, criminal defense, personal injury and real estate transactions.

Prior to starting Wachnik Law LLC, Eryk served as an Assistant State's Attorney at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and also as an attorney at a prominent Chicago personal injury defense firm.

Eryk earned his B.A./B.S. from Loyola University Chicago and his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Kathy Bojczuk

Kathy Bojczuk uses the law to bring positive change to people’s lives and represents clients with compassion combined with knowledge of the law. Her remarkably wide-ranging professional background includes clerkships in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and in the Juvenile Division of the Cook County Public Guardian’s Office. For over eleven years she was in private practice, exclusively concentrating in family law and matrimonial matters. Kathy thrives on helping people during their most terrible times and making their lives better. She brings a fresh perspective to her clients. She is often recognized for her calm, focused courtroom demeanor, as well as her litigation and negotiation skills. Her legal expertise results in consistently successful outcomes for clients. Kathy now works as a supervisory attorney for Life Span, a nonprofit organization that provides victims of abuse with legal services, advocacy and counseling.

Tom Nowinski

Tom Nowinski has been in public service his entire legal career because he has a dedication to the service of others. In his over 17 years as an attorney, Tom has gained extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation giving Tom not only a depth of legal experience, but a breadth of experience as well.
Tom began his career as Assistant State’s Attorney where he tried hundreds of criminal and civil bench trials and jury trials in state and federal court. While assigned to the Civil Actions Bureau, Tom became the lead attorney representing Cook County offices in the Shakman litigation. In that role, Tom worked to rid government employment from unlawful political discrimination.

Outside of litigation, Tom has extensive experience in Labor Relations and Court Administration. As Deputy Direct of Labor Relations for Cook County, Tom assumed the role of legal advisor and contract negotiator responsible for all aspects of labor and employment matters for Cook County government.  Read More

Julia Smolka

Julia Smolka is a shareholder at Robbins DiMonte, Ltd. in their Park Ridge office. She has over 20 years of experience representing diverse business industries and individuals as debtors in reorganizations, bankruptcy, and debt restructuring. Julia has in-depth experience drafting contracts, leases, business sales transactions and settlement agreements with an eye toward anticipating potential litigation and protecting her clients. Additionally, she represents condominium and homeowners’ associations in litigation, collection, negotiations with vendors and disputes with utilities and municipalities. Julia is experienced with drafting estate plans and representing estate and beneficiaries in probate litigation.

Julia is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago Law School and lives on the Northwest Side.

Immediate Past President
Hon. Jonathan Clark Green

Judge Jonathan Clark Green currently serves in the Domestic Violence Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Judge Green was formerly a Supervising Attorney in the City of Chicago Department of Law, where he practiced civil rights and torts litigation, as well as other claims involving complex discovery, motion and trial practice. Prior to his work with the City, he was Principal of Green & Green, P.C. and Of Counsel to Rock, Fusco & Garvey, Ltd. Judge Green is also a former Assistant Attorney General in the Illinois Attorney’s General Office, and worked on the legal staff of the Illinois House of Representative in Springfield. A graduate, with distinction, of the Georgetown University Law Center’s master’s degree program in international and comparative law, Judge Green has diverse backgrounds in international litigation and transactional matters. He also was a fellow of the American Society of International Law in Washington, D.C., and previously worked in both Brussels and Chicago for European, Asian and American clients. He received his J.D. degree from the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and his B.A. degree from Columbia University in New York.
